1794 S.17a Head of 1793 Liberty Cap Large cent, PCGS VG details, code 98 for repaired.  To be completely forthcoming about it, we do not see anything we'd call a repair.  We do see some damage...somebody spent some time hacking away the 7 in the date, and there is a small, circular depression at ER in LIBERTY.  There are also some relatively minor areas of roughness due to environmental factors...but we don't see anything that qualifies as repaired to us.  The other thing that strikes us is the details grade itself.  This coin displays solid VF details, not VG.  There is strong hair detail, each and every letter is full and bold, none are worn into the rims, and each dentil (at least those that made it onto the planchet) is individually defined.  So, we would describe this coin as VF details, damaged (some via environmental factors, some via vandal), and suggest though that the overall eye appeal is pretty darn good!
